This 12-session certification course partially treats the history of human thought and epistemology (form of knowing). The modern era clearly dispelled some of the fallacies of premodernity but drove humanity in a direction that did not value other aspects of the whole human being. When Descartes tried to prove his existence through the words, "cogito ergo sum" -- I think, therefore I am -- he basically reduced his "I" to thinking alone, Henceforth, thinking has been the prized gem that has pushed out all other human sensibilities. Where do we go from here at the end of the modern era? How do we know what we know; how do we recognize when thinking is efficient or flawed and healthy or unhealthy? This course will focus on healthy and adept thinking of the whole human being. Exam or Project for those in the certificate program. Coming Soon. Exam or Project. TBA
